Why aren’t your brows symmetrical?

Have you ever wondered why your eyebrows aren’t symmetrical?
I think we have all wondered why we have a good eyebrow and a bad eyebrow, there’s an explanation apparently.
Thankfully nowadays we have a wide array of brow kits to aid in our pilgrimage for symmetrical eyebrows. However, some think the cause of wonky brows is scientific. Tonya Crooks, the woman who works on the eyebrows of celebrities like Megan Fox and Eva Mendes, believes that asymmetrical eyebrows are down to habits and facial expressions.
“Each brow has different muscle movement”, she explained recently. “Sometimes this is caused by what side [of your face] you’re sleeping on, [which can make] the muscles on one side weaker than the other. Sometimes it is due to how you naturally show expression.”
So, the expressions we make and the way we sleep can have an effect on the development of our facial muscles. Therefore, meaning that one eyebrow can have a higher arch because it might have a more taught muscle underneath it.
Fear not! Here are some recommendations of how to even out your brows.
If you already have thick full brows and don’t want to fill them in or define them, try using a brow gel. You can get tinted and clear ones and running them through the hair will be enough to tame it and hold them in a nice shape.
If you want defined but still natural looking brows then you should stick to powder. Brow brushes give more definition than pencil but have a more natural effect. Be sure to blend everything out and use short strokes of the brush.
If you have sparse brows you’ll want to use a brow pencil. A thin pencil will be able to mimic natural brow hairs but the firm waxy texture of the pencil will mean it will stick to the skin and last longer than, say, a brow powder would.
If you want something defining and long lasting, try waxes, pomades or liquids. The formula of these products are very long wearing, practically smudge proof and typically a favourite. Applying them can take practice but the pay off will be good.
We hope this helps you on your journey to great brows!
