It is used in the Indian subcontinent for its natural antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and colour-balancing properties. The ability to bring down inflammation translates to skin care by minimising acne or bringing down a rosacea flare-ups. You can also rely on it for anti-ageing benefits. It is loaded with key vitamins that facilitate important skin renewal processes, such as the creation of collagen!

Its uses

You can add a tablespoon of turmeric to a homemade face mask to give it a little extra oomph. As we previously stated it has amazing anti-inflammatory properties and will do wonders for acne. Turmeric also regulates oil production and heals scars, especially those from acne.

Since turmeric has colour-balancing properties, it evens out the appearance and texture of the skin. In addition, its natural antioxidant properties make it the perfect choice to undo and prevent the negative side effects of poor diet and overexposure to the sun. Both of these could be linked to hyperpigmentation of skin, and turmeric has been highly esteemed for its ability to keep the skin protected, healthy, and glowing! This will also aid a lot in fighting the signs of ageing.
